The Natural Capital Agenda (June 2013) is a 'translation' of the international agreements on biodiversity - as laid down in the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the EU Biodiversity Strategy - into an agenda for implementation in the Netherlands. Its goal is to attain resilient ecosystems and ecosystem services by 2020 at the latest. This should contribute to enhanced biodiversity, water and food security, poverty alleveation and human well-being. The Agenda also builds on the recommendations by the Taskforce on Biodiversity and Natural Resources, Groene Groei.
